How do i get ride of the black sides on my t.v. now have a converter box, the picture is smaller black sides ?
-
I just bought a digital converter box for my old t.v. set, ( can't afford a new set ) and hooked up my converter box to my set. I have less channels and the sides of the picture are black about 2" in on both sides. On the remote I can change from 4:3 or 16: something, standard (normal) size screen or Wide screen. Both still have the 2" black sides. Is there a way to get those black sides off of the T.V. ?

Answer:
There should be a zoom button or something similar. My unit has 3 modes normal, fill and zoom. Zoom is the setting that gets an SD image to fill the screen.
