Where Will I Earn Money?

Who will earn more money? The store or the company?

  • I'm trying to buy a movie. Will buying it from a person (because it's cheaper) be better or buying it from a store? If I buy it from the store, will the company that made the Dvd get the money, or will the store? Although buying it from a person is cheaper, will they get the money, and not the company who made it?

  • Answer:

Anytime you buy something from a private party, you are buying "As Is." Lots of folks sell their cars, for instance, privately. When you buy that car, there's no return policy available. If the car you buy needs repairs after you get it, you pay for it. Same goes for a dvd or whatever item you are considering purchasing from a private party. I purchased a blue tooth from a fellow on ebay. I actually purchased two of them. One for my daughter, one for me. Mine failed in less than 3 months.. My daughter's works fine to this day. Do you think the guy who sold it to me is taking care of replacing that blue tooth? Not a chance. If you buy from a store, check their return policy prior to purchase. Some stores have a good one (Sear's for instance...if you get their replacement policy for a few extra bucks on say a DVD player, they'll hand you another one, at the store, immediately, no questions asked!!). Other's not so good. And as far as the money goes...the private party has already purchased the item, so what money you give them is theirs. Same goes for the store,,,they have already placed the order with the distributor of the dvd, and must pay for the order. That distributor may still not be the actual manufacturer, and may get his product from an even bigger distributor, and so on and so on,,,until you reach the OEM, which stand for Original Equipment Manufacturer, the ORIGINAL maker of the item. All the rest are called "middle men"...and they ALL get money, and they ALL pay money,,,to the next guy upline. Even the OEM has to pay for the materials and services rendered to them to MAKE the product. This is a lesson in economics, and THAT is the subject area of the real question you are asking.

What person? Do what's ever cheapest. I think the company will get paid a little more, but I'm not sure.
