Is there HDMI audio and video in one cable?

Do they make a cable that has an HDMI on one end and an S-Video on the other?

  • Or and eSATA on one end and an S-Video on the other??? My TV has only an S-Video input, while my computer has only an HDMI and an eSATA. I really want to be able to watch my computer on my TV. Thank you in advance!

    I think you'll need a converter / adapter box. S-Video is analog, while HDMI is digital. eSATA is completely unrelated to video, so that's out of the question.

It is really not worth connecting a PC to a TV using s-video. You can barely read the text. Put your PC in 480i mode to get an idea of how bad it is going to be.

There is no cable made that has HDMI at one end and S-Video on the other end. You can find a converter box at most retail store to convert S-video to HDMI or component.

Buy a new LCD TV with HDMI input. You can get a nice one with 720p resolution that has HDMI inputs or VGA input from PCs. It was only a 26" LCD and it was on sale for $329. Must be a really old TV with only s-video input? Upgrade like I said and then you can watch some HD streaming video from you PC in the future.
