How do I get my RCA DVD/Surround Sound system to work with my HDTV?
-
Just bought a Sony Bravia HDTV & decided to save some money on a sound system by buying an RCA DVD Home Theatre System that is HD compatible. Surround works fine when I play a DVD, but when watching cable, I cannot get the speakers to work. I connected some A/V cables to the Audio Out on the TV and into the Aux Audio In on the surround system, as per instructions in the manual, but sound still only comes out of the TV. thanx

Answer:
Do you have a cable box? If so output the sound from there If not check your tv's settings and see if you can get it to output sound to the outputs while you are watching tv.
