Why did my dvd player screen turned all pink?

How to Fix an ORITRON DVD PLAYER?

  • Okay when I finished working out with a fitness dvd I wanted to push the MENU button on the Oritron dvd player remote but I hit another button called PSCAN and then the dvd went to its menu screen and there was a huge red message, like an error message, and the dvd player cut off and the screen went black and then static came on the screen. So, I turned off the dvd player and unhooked the cord that went from the dvd player into the tv, waited a couple seconds, and hooked the cord back in the tv and turned on the dvd player and still got the same static on the screen. I have tried pressing buttons on the player and the dvd remote too. I also tried looking for the dvd manuel but I couldn't find it because my mother probably threw it out years ago. What I haven't tried is unplugging the eletrical cord from the dvd player that powers it from the wall, but I don't think that'll work, idk. If you can help me with this problem I will be very appreciative because this is the only dvd I have in my house besides the one in my room, which is very tricky to operate.

  • Answer:

I am unable to locate a manual or the web site for your particular DVD player. However not all is lost. Does your player have channel 3/4 output also? If it does, use that to hook up to your TV temporarily. TV channel output is never progressive scan so you should get a video display from your DVD player. From there you would go to the setup menu and deselect progressive scan. If that doesn't work or you don't have channel 3/4 output then you will need to list the specific model number of your DVD player. With that, someone may be able to help you more.

Every time I break something, I use a credit card to fix it. It works like this: 1. Get a credit card 2. Go to your local electronics store. Best Buy is best in my opinion. 3. Go up to the counter and tell them this password: "Hello, I need a new DVD player." 4. Hand them the credit card. They will respond with "Do you know which one?" If they don't, grab your card and run. 5. Point at a random DVD player off the shelf. They're all the same. 6. After you do what they tell you to for a few minutes, you'll find yourself walking out with the DVD player. Read the manuals and set it up! ALTERNATE: Use Google, it's a great invention for fixing things.
