Will DVDs bought in the UK work on DVD players in Poland ?

This is a going home present for someone so I have to be sure it will work on their DVD player in Poland

You need to find out what region code Poland is and check the DVDs you bought to see what region code the UK is. If the recipient happens to have a region-free DVD player, then you don't need to worry about region codes.

I think so because some of my UK DVDs have Polish as a language option. That makes me think they would work in Poland.
