Can an Xbox 360 HDMI cable be used for a Blu-ray Player?

  • The cable that came with my Xbox 360, along with the 'brick'. Would it work the same as a regular HDMI cable for Blu-ray players, for full HD.

    I'm unsure of what the "brick" is, but the component cables will not hook up to a blu-ray player with HDMI inputs without some sort of adapter. This has nothing to do with power inputs so don't worry about that. These signal converters normally cost between $100 and $200 or you can buy a cable adapter for around $15. Check the ends of the cable, if they are both the same (and one is supposed to fit an HDMI port on the TV) then yes it should work on a BluRay player and HDMI will carry the HD signal as well as sound. Enjoy!
