How to hook up a computer to a surround sound system?

  • I have a computer with a projector (NICE). It's like a theater. Now... How would like to hook up a surround sound system with my computer. So, I can have a home theater like a theater?

    if u don't have digital out function, you may do this simple step. There will be a green coloured jack on the backside of your cabinet (for PCs), match it and Connect it with the config. Unit of your speaker system.. Thats all u hav to do! Enjoy..

Most modern desktop systems had a digital out, or digital out as an option.

If your computer doesn't have a digital audio output, or your receiver doesn't have another such input, then a 3.5 MM audio output would connect to that type of jack, and using a cable that has at it's other end stereo RCA plugs, which go into an audio input on the receiver.
