How to hook up a Dvd recorder?

I have a sony hidef 42" a LG dvd recorder a dvd vhs combo and a cable box how do i hook all this stuff up?

  Well it would be a lot easier if you gave some insight on what models you have, but here are some options: If you have the up-convert LG DVD/VCR combo, use and HDMI cable to hook it up to your TV. If your TV lacks HDMI but has DVI use an HDMI to DVI adapter ($32.99) to hook up the DVD player. Then you would use regular composite (Red, white and yellow) to hook up the VCR portion, and use the same cables to go out of your source into the 'Input' on your recorder. From your cable box, use a good set of component cables (red, green blue) and a set of audio cables(red and white) to get high def from your cable box. let me know which models you have and I could help you further.
