What is a good 15" powered subwoofer for home theater?

• I'm looking for a good 15" powered subwoofer for my home theater system. I have a JBL Northridge E150P and it has massive sweetspots where the bass is insanely loud and everything else is fairly quiet. I want a subwoofer that gives consistent bass reproduction and can go as low as 20hz or even 30hz. I was considering gettinf a Cerwin Vega subwoofer but I've heard mixed opinions about the quality of Cerwin Vega products. Which subwoofer should I get? It has to be a 15".

  Replacing the subwoofer isn't going to fix the peaks and valleys in the response. This isn't a function of the subwoofer it's a function of the room. You may be able to improve it by relocating the subwoofer or by adding additional subwoofers. Just curious. Btw, the more surface area the better, more area moving less will sound better than less surface area moving more. It doesn't matter how you get the area, one 15" or two 12". mk
