Surround sound problems?

Motorola Moxi box, Plazma TV and surround sound setup problems?

• We purchased a Panasonic 42" Plasma TV. We also purchased an LG DVD surround sound system. We are currently using a Motorola Moxi box from Charter Cable. We are trying to hookup our TV, Moxi box and Surround system together. We can get the TV working with the Moxi box with sound from the TV. We are using a blue/green/red cable from the TV set to the Moxi box. How do we get the surround system incorporated into the setup?

  red green blue cable is a component cable just for video not audio,are you sure you are not using a yellow which is video and a red and white which is audio. to get audio you have to connect from the audio out on your motorola box (red and white) to audio in on surround system(red and white) visualize what you are trying to do, get sound out from motorola box to input of your sound system and remember for both audio or video the output from one device must go to the input of another.
