How can i hook up a car sub to a home theatre receiver meant for active subs?
-
I have a yamaha rx v367 home theatre receiver and i want to hook up car subs to it. however; it only has one subwoofer input, and it's meant for an active powered subwoofer (it has the one rca cable). Would i have to use my a seperate amplifier and somehow plug it in?

Answer:
Wrong move. Not going to sound good. Why do all these people think that sound designed for a car will sound good in a space that is at least ten times larger?

You do not want to do this. Keep in mind that car audio are designed for small area and operate on a DC at 4 OHM. If you use the car audio subwoofer you can burn the power amplifier or the speaker. Hope this will help you out.
