How to watch movies on chinese players?

How can I watch movies on my Blu Ray player from my USB?

• So I download a lot of movies, but I want to watch them on my tv. There's a thing called a wdtv which is $100. It allows me to watch movies from a USB on the wdtv which is connected to a tv. But, some blu ray players have USB ports. Blu ray players are $50, and you can watch blu rays. So, how do I watch movies from my USB on the blu ray player? Does it come up in the tv? Does it even work? If not, I'll just get the wdtv. But if I can save $50, I'll get the blu ray.

  All Blu ray players are not created equally. Some have more functions than others. There is no way to know what the USB port is for on a player unless you read up on it. Some may only be for a WiFi dongle. Others may allow you to play only jpegs and mp3's. Others may have some video capabilities but you need to make sure the video format you have is the type of video format the player is capable of decoding. So there is no standard answer. Just having a USB port means almost nothing unless you know its function.
