Will this system sound good. sub woofer help?

Help setting up my suround sound recierver t761 NAD system?

  • i have a surround sound receiver t761 NAD system and i cannot get the surround sound working the speakers are all hooked up to the system and the front side speakers left and right are working along with the sub woofer but the center and rear left and right speakers wont work any help would be greatly appreciated im have a dvd player illico cable box and satalite box hooked up to the NAD system thanks in advancd

    Hi David It sound like you have the Speaker "B" on. The Nad t761 Will defalt to stereo only when Speakers A and B are on at the same time. Try turning off Speakers B. If that didn't help... Try to toggle through the Surround Modes... (the fourth Button from the right on the front of the receiver or the mode button on your remote)

NAD is good stuff but I am not that familiar with their surround sound. It sounds like you just need to change the selection of mode, if the wiring is right it should play rears in any mode except a selection for mains. I dont know their terminology but select stadium or something else and the rears should work. Center will work when something is recorded in Dolby Surround or more advanced. Good luck
