Surround Sound that has a good sub?

5.1 Surround Sound X-530. Sub not working.?

  • Ive plugged my X-530 into the adapter it comes with (Red+White = Pink,Black,Green). Into cord (Red,White = Black). Ive plugged Black into the back port BLUE(Recommended). My Centre, F-Left, B-Left, F-Right and B-Right work just fine. My sub isn't doing anything at all. I know it's not broken because it works for my Ipod with the same (Red+White = Black) setup. Black leading into the headphone port. Any ideas??? Like i have looked in every setting i can find but nothing affects my sub. I try putting the Black, Green, Pink into the back 3 ports but either my back two stop working, or my 2 left stop working, but atleast the sub works when i do that. Has anyone had the same problem but managed to get everything to work perfectly? Sorry its a really, really long question. Wanted to avoid confusion.

  • Answer:

Have you tried to put the black wire into the sub? You may need a "Y" cable to combine the stereo signal to a mono source. (The sub is suppose to be mono!) So, red is on one side of the RCA plug, with white on the other and it plugs into the sub w/ the single leg. All stereo to sub become monaural. Hope This Helps
