How to find a manual for magnavox DVD recorder?

My Magnavox VCR/DVD Recorder won’t record from cable?

• This DVD Recorder doesn't have a tuner with it, so I use my cable box as the external tuner. I think everything is connected right because DVDs and VHS tapes play, even the dubbing (copying from VHS to DVD) works. And the cable works too, but no picture shows when I switch to Video Source, which is how I can view the DVDs/VHS tapes. After trying to record something on DVD or VHS, the screen is blank when I try to play it back, but it was recording because the red light was on till I stopped it from recording. Is something not recording right or is it the playback? What do I need to do? FYI: The cable cord from the wall connects to the cable box. The cable box connects to the TV by cable cord. Cable box is also connected to DVD recorder by s-video (with 3 RCA on one end) cord. The DVD recorder is connected to the TV by RCA audio and video cords. (If any of this was wrong, it wouldn’t play, would it?) I’m using a Maxell DVD-RW, and I know it works because I’ve dubbed from VHS to DVD and it plays.   u need to switch ur recorder to line which u have ur connection from the cable box.e.g. if ur connection from cable box is on line 1 then u need to switch to line 1.the connection should b out from cable box n in to recorder.good luck.
