How do i put subtitles on my DVD's?

ive lately been taking old videos from my computer and putting them on DVD's to clean up some space on my computer, and a thought came to mind, "I could put subtitles on the DVD's".... anyone know how i can do this? i use windows 7 if that helps

There is a lot of work in creating one as well as fun in learning the link below is for a subtitle for a movie called 'Batman Begins' click on "Download English Subtitle'. The file is an .Srt you are able to open in Word or even Word Pad etc. once opened you will get the idea as to the timing and the setting of the Subs. There are programs that make it easier yet they cost money.
