Can my laptop record with a Hauppauge HD PVR?

Can I use the Hauppauge HD PVR 1304 to record onto a laptop then transfer my recordings onto a computer?

• Hello, I was going to buy the Hauppauge HD PVR 1304 however my computer is 30ft away for my xbox 360 and i was recommended by Hauppauge not to buy an extended USB lead to connect the HD PVR to the computer as it would reduce the quality of my vids and cause interference?? However, Is it possible if i use my brothers laptop to record the xbox live game play then transfer the recordings onto the computer with a USB stick? The family desktop computer is Vista 32bit and my brother laptop is wondows 7 and both are compatible with the Hauppauge HD PVR. So once I install the Arcsoft Total Media Extreme disc on both laptop and computer should I be good to go with recording onto laptop and transferring to desktop? :D Hopefully this will work and if it does I will only have to go through this process for a few months as I will be saving up for a laptop in the summer.Hope this works and please get back to me anyone ASAP confirming if this should work. YES just make sure the laptop has some good specs and lots of RAM Hauppauge likes RAM......as for the other answers sorry for not getting it right fo you. Only Gig would be the Thumb Drives are small and the files kinda big yet there are lots of ways to dump video onto another computer, another Hard Drive or Ethernet etc. or make short clips of the gameplay and then it will be far easier to transfer them..
