Need help recording with Windows Media Center!?!?!?!?!?
-
Im trying to record with Windows Media Center on my Windows 7 computer but I cannot find an area to select different recording optiopns like MPEG-2, MP4, or AVI... instead when I record a program it records it in wtv... is there a way to record to H.264 at all? Im trying to record 2 hours of HD programming, but with wtv files that would be approximately 13GB of storage space and thats way to huge for me. I know I can turn down the detail of the recording but Im looking to fit 2 hour HD programming in about 4-6 GB.

Answer:
i ran into the same problem...windows media center used to record with the wmp format and could be converted to other formats, it seems that wtv files are designed for copy protection. i haven't found a way to convert them
