Looking for a DVD Player?

Looking for a new DVD Player/Recorder-what to buy?

My family is in need of a new (well, really two) DVD Players/Recorders. I am pushing for a DVD player that can also record TV shows on its DVD, since that would simply be awesome. However, after glancing at the myriad of choices, I realize I don't have much to go on in the way of deciding what to buy. I've been looking on the Best Buy site, but if you guys have a better online store to look at, then please let me know! Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have a Toshiba player/recorder. I love it. However, I also have a separate player (only) because you'll wear out the recorder function really fast if you are also playing disks on it all the time. DVD mechanisms only work so long and I prefer to use the recorder for just that - record. Bought my player/recorder at Best Buy. Bought the Player at Target.
