How do I get a show I recorded on time warner cable dvr on my computer?
-
I am trying to transfer a show I recorded on my time warner cable dvr to my computer. I do not own a DVD recorder that I can attach to the DVR.

Answer:
You need to write down your dvr make, model, and serial number and go online to see if there is an output mode that will let you do that on the company website. As was previously noted many dvr makes do not allow you to output to computer.

It's too hard to explain. You have to save to VHS and than transfer, and some DVR's do not let you record to VHS or other means

You haven't given us enough information. What is the make and model of the DVR? What kind of output ports does it have? FireWire? USB? Give us all the details.
