How do i make a copy of a DVD-R?

• I was given a sony DVD-R that has a graduation slide show with music and effects on it and when i put it in my laptop or a dvd player it goes to the menu and when i press play it starts with the slide show. How do i make a copy of it for my family. I have some DVD+R's what is the difference and how do i copy the DVD-R?

  Load the DVD to the computer and then quit it as it launches then right click and choose "Explore" after that the DVD is open unless you know how to get to the 'VIDEO_TS" folder thats the trick.... Drag that to the desktop of the computer and let it copy there after that use your burning software and choose the following "DVD_ROM (UDF) as the format that is the format of all DVDs. Choose that and then drag the 'VIDEO_TS' folder to open window and thats basically it.... Burn at a slow rate not the fastest its better to have a slow one as it will play better, we even burn ours as slow as 1X or 2X when Mastering a DVD You can use Nero Lite to burn the DVD-ROM(UDF) format as for the DVD+Rs they will work YEAH many will say "No" yet its a data disk and it will work with a DVD-ROM(UDF) as we do it all the time.
