How to record a TV movie, program etc. on a VCR? How to connect the wires inthe back of the VCR and TV?

I have tried again and again in different ways and I can't. Thanks

Actually, you don't HAVE to have the vcr connected to the tv, if it has its own tuner (and most do). Just connect the television signal (antenna or cable) to the vcr. HOWEVER, it is difficult to program the vcr without seeing the menus. So take at least one cable from the vcr video out and plug it into the television's video input that matches the cable. A cable from the audio out of the vcr to the audio in on the television will allow you to hear sound when playing back a video tape.

I'm not sure if you have cable or satellite. Cable (w/o cable box): Run cable line to the (in) coaxal. Run (out) coaxal to the back of the TV. Cable or Satellite with box: Run cable (coaxal or A/V--red, white, yellow) from box to back of VCR to (in or input) and then run a cable out to TV and hook it up to the back of the TV. Good luck :)

If your VCR has a Scart connection then connect it to your TV via this via a scart lead which, these days, you can get from Tesco, Asda etc for under a Quid if your VCR has 2 scart sockets make sure you connect it to the in/out one, the manual shoud tell you which is which, make sure that you switch the VCR to Line & not one of it's own tuner channels.
