What DVD do I need to record a tv show?

DVD/VCR Record and Play. What the heck do I want?

• I'm replacing my VCR (finally!) I only record my favorite shows on TV and rarely record or watch recorded movies. I see on the market that there are DVD players, DVD player/recorders and DVD/VCR combos. I don't want to have to buy any special equipment and I have cable without a box. My cable just hooks to my TV with wire thingys. Any suggestions? Simple to hook up and use is probably a priority and of course, the less spent the better. I really do not need a lot of bells and whistles. Just the ability to record one show while I'm watching another and playing it back later, without any hassles. Thanx for your time.

  you can buy a dvd recorder that you can record your shows on. or watch movies too. they even have a dvd recorder that has a hard drive you can record shows and watch them later. the dvd recorder is so easy to hook up and program
