Can I use my Sky plus card in another sky plus box?

  • I am thinking of buying a sky plus box (second hand) for our static caravan which we are also going to put a sat dish on. Can I use my home sky plus card in this sky plus box when we go on holiday?

  • Answer:

    You can but you need to phone sky to reconfig the card to the box. They can do it over the phone, takes about two minutes. If you don't reconfig then you might not get all the channels that you pay for. When you get home, just phone them to reconfig it back again :-)

nope, each card is linked to a unique box. you can switch over to a different box, but you'll have to phone sky and they'll ask you to verify that the old one is broken.. just unplug your sky box and take it with you, card and all, that's the simplest option, works fine with any dish you plug it into..

hi,i had a box before,i tried a different card,it wouldnt let me watch the sport or films,it said this is not the right card etc.but i could get all the docementries..hope this helped.all you can do is try...
