Does Directv slow down internet connection?

How can I connect my DirecTV on Demand up using wireless?

  • I can NOT figure out how to do this. My DirecTV box has On Demand features but needs to be connected to the internet. My wireless box is upstairs and my DirecTV box is downstairs. I have an ethernet cable and I don't want to have to buy anything if I don't have to. My Wii connected to the wireless just fine. I was wondering if there is a way I can connect the DirecTV box to my Wii to get internet? I have tried to connect the ethernet cable up to my laptop to get connection but that didn't work either. If anyone could help me in any way that would be fantastic. Thank you!

    I would recomend the internet connection kit. Its the easiest thing to do. they are $24 dollars and its really easy to use. You plug it into the wall and stuff. I don't want to go into details because if you call directv they will take care of everythig for you.
