ONE TOUCH VIDEO CAPTURE VC500 DEVICE?

Capture video from a TV source to your computer?

• I recently got a "Video Capture Device" called the VC500 One-Touch , a pretty basic video capture device with a usb on one end to plug into a computer, a device with one button to record, and a s-video port and 3 inputs "Video, audio, and headset". Now I installed it and plugged the usb to my computer, and I"m not sure what to do now because first I plugged the inputs in first and looked on the installed program which has 2 things, a screen for video and a options board/player that plays, stops, rewinds, ect. It didn't work at first so I took out the inputs from the acual TV and put them in my Cable Box. Still nothing. Then I realized the S-Video was there (I forgot about it), so I looked behind the box and found another s-video input, but it's the same type so I can't plug it in (or so I think). So my question is how can I get video or know what settings to switch to so it shows video playing from the TV on my now black screen (video format, or just format [DVD, VCD, AVI, ect.])

  Remove device from computer, Install software from disk that came with device. Goto below website (maker of device) click on support download latest driver for your operating system and install driver. THEN plug device into video source, I would recommend using the composite connection, most DVRs and VCRs have an out that you can plug them into, or you can goto radio shack or walmart and purchase a device that will turn convert the standard cable cord to the appropriate connection. THEN plug USB end into the computer. This should work for you.
