Anyone know of a satellite Internet provider?

I haven't looked recently, but my take (from mostly anecdotal reports) is that they cost about twice the cost of a basic broadband service, with lower speed and very restrictive access policies. It needs to be installed by a qualified engineer, plus you have to buy or lease the hardware. It has been, and likely still is, recommended you choose wired or terrestrial wireless over satellite, if you have the choice of terrestrial internet.

http://www.digis.net/ My brother in law has this and it is awsome - it rus really fast and he uses it for his business and he is very picky about reliability. We are looking into possibly getting it ourselves. We recently went over to check it out and were very happy. We have used cable and qwest and they are not very good compared to this service. I also have tried some satellite internets before and never came across one worth the price before.

I have Cox High Speed Internet. When I signed up I think it was like $14.00 a month and it works great. However I have seen advertisements here for Hughes. I don't recommend Verizon at all because their billing is terrible and they always try to over charge you and if you don't call them every month about junk on your bill you end up paying too much.
