Is DVR recording on the wrong TV?

How do i switch which tv my dvr is recording on?

  • i have two tvs hooked up to our dvr and there is a show on at 7-8 and another at 8-9 that i want to record, but one is recording on a different tv than the other. i want them both to be recording on one tv?? how can i do this?

What is wrong with going to the one TV / DVR that you want to use to record both shows on and scheduling both shows while canceling the show on the other? First, you have not told us what type of DVR system you have. Secondly, you have not told us how the DVRs and TVs are connected to each other and where the TV signal come from. Thirdly, your way of describing this "but one is recording on a different tv than the other" is confusing because no DVR literally records what is on the TV screen, which is apparently exactly what you think is happening. Let me ask you if you keep both TVs on when these shows are being recorded?

DVRs don't record on TVs, they record on the DVR itself and then play back the recording to any TV that the DVR is hooked up to.
