How much is it to get sky hd recording?

HD TV: Get HD through Sky Freesat?

• I've just upgraded to an High-Definition TV, looks great in Standard Definition though. What i was wandering was, how i could get HD through the Sky Freesat box? I've done a bit of research and it looks like I'm going to have to get a sky HD box. That's fine but it's way to expensive (£200). Do you think if I rang up sky, complained, and threatened that i would switch to BBC Freesat if they didn't make the price of the box cheaper, they would push the price down? Or is there a better way of doing it? Thanks.

  Unfortunately, I believe you have to subscriber or buy your own box. Note that with a Sky box you wont be able use the DVR features (such as recording) without subscribing Given that and the cost you're probably better off buying a (BBC) Freesat+ HD box will allow you to record and watch without subscribing. You can get BBC HD using a Sky HD box. However, ITV HD is not officially available on Sky HD. i.e. it isn't on the EPG and you have to fiddle around and add it to the extra channels menu.
