Where can I buy a PSX (DVR?

Can you buy a DVR on the internet and use it at home without buying it from the company?

  • I will be moving to a new apartment soon on campus and my wife and I will be stuck with Insight Cable (A regional Company). We want DVR so that we can record our favorite TV shows when we aren't at home. So the question is could be buy any DVR from Wal-mart or best buy or something? Or even an Insight DVR off the internet? Would it still work? all be really need is the cable connection, correct? Thanks so much!

    If you don't want a DVR from Insight you have two choices, a Tivo or a DVD recorder with a hard drive. You cannot buy an Insight box on ebay; Insight won't activate it.

Well if you want to view channels and record your favorite t.v. shows you do need cable. Your cable provider can install it for you if you already have cable you can find out how to set up the connections correctly. Yes you can buy stuff from the internet, such as amazon.com ebay, you can even buy it from best buy. com
