How do I burn DVDs from my computer?

How can I burn DVDs from video on my computer?

  • I downloaded a decent software for burning DVDs which worked beautifully and quickly. However, when I went to play the DVD in my regular DVD player, it told me that the playback option was not available on the disk. I used a DVD-R disc for burning, was that wrong? Also, how can I burn DVDs that have subtitles? I have some foreign films I'd like to take off my computer and just transfer to disks.

burn DVDs from video on my computer, you can use uSeesoft DVD Creator which can convert and burn your videos like WMV, AVI, MP4, ASF, 3GP, MOV, DivX, DAT, MPEG, etc to DVD files (DVD folder, ISO) and DVD disc. you can learn more about it here: http://www.useesoft.com/dvd-burning-tool/dvd-creator.html

I know the reason why you can't play your burned dvd in your regular dvd player, because you just burned a data dvd(directly burn your video file to dvd disc without convert to right format), so you can't play it in your regular dvd player, you should note, regular DVD players only recognize standard video DVD well, so if you want to play the burned DVD in regular DVD player, you need to use a right software to convert your video file to a standard video DVD and burn onto a DVD disc, and that can be played well in your regular DVD player. And for subtitles, you can search the "move name + srt" on google or yahoo to download SRT subtitle files of your video, then you can use a right software to put srt subtitle files on your videos, for your question, you can try RZ DVD Creator, it can put srt subtitle files on any video files, it can convert any video files and srt subtitle files to standard video dvd with subtitle, and burn to any dvd disc(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc).Easy to use, insert your DVD-R disc into your dvd burner drive, run RZ DVD Creator, select the dvd burner drive as target folder, directly drag&drop your video into the software, then click subtitle button to add srt files onto corresponding video, then click START button, you can get a video DVD with subtitle from your avi video and srt subtitle files, and you can play the burned standard video DVD well in your regular DVD player with subtitle. You can yahoo or google search and download RZ DVD Creator, easy to use, hope it can help you.

DVD format is VOB. It contains two folders Video_TS and Audio_TS, you have to convert your video to DVD compatible video at first, otherwise regular DVD player can not read and play it. You have to author the DVD, after the original file is converted to mpg2 format. Their are some consumer software that can save you those steps all you have to do is import the video file into the program and make it author and burn the disk for you.
