Why won't my Time Warner Cable remote work?

• It worked up until two weeks ago. I reset my box because of other problems and then switched the batteries and now all of a sudden the remote wont control anything. I understand I need to put a code in for it to work for the TV, but the remote wont even control the box anymore. It wont change the channel or anything. I can't even turn the box off with the remote. Please help if you can! Remote - RT-U64CP-1.17

  The IR sensor on your box may have quit. If the remote somehow became unprogrammed then try this don't know what type of remotes you have - they all have different set up methods. Try this though... it's standard on a lot of remotes: Turn the device you want to prgram on. Hold down sel/ok button and the device you want to program (tv, aux etc) for about 5 secs until the device light flashes. Hold down channel up. If the light starts flashing then you are going the right direction. Hold it down until your device turns off. Let up on the ch up button. Press the device button one more time to lock in the code.
