How to know if my computer can copy dvd then burn them?

i hhave vista and dont know if it has a dvd player when i put dvd in it don't show.....whats wrong

Check with your computer specifications to see if your computer comes with a DVD burning drive. If so, you can burn DVDs with the help of a DVD burning tool. Vista comes with Windows DVD Maker which can be used to burn DVDs. Good luck.
