  • I bought an hd pvr to record ps3 gameplay in HD. Its coming in the mail but I want to know if I can even use it with my computer. System: Microsoft Windows XP media center edition Version 2002 Sevice pack 3 Computer: AMD Turion9tm0 64 Mobile Technology ML- 34 1.79 GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM Physical Address Extension

    Wow, you probably should of bought a new PC before buying the HD-PVR... Your operating system should be okay, but your CPU and RAM are very low... I'm assuming your graphics card is too... You'll probably run into some performance problems. Here's what the website says the minium requirements are. Note: when playing back video recordings made with the HD PVR, a fast CPU and at least 256MB of graphics memory are needed. -Processor Requirements (minimum): Dual core CPU 2.0GHz or faster -Windows 7 (32 and 64-bit), Windows Vista or Windows XP service pack 2 (32-bit) -Graphics with 256MB memory (or greater) -Sound card -CD-ROM drive for installing the HD PVR software TV set requirements: -HD PVR has passthrough to any HD TV set or monitor which has a component video input. Although it doesn't mention RAM, you should have at least 2GB or more RAM I personally would go with no less than 4GB RAM.
