How do I record to a VHS from my DVD player?

Do you know if you can record from a vhs player to a DVD recorder via your tv?

  • I want to concert my old vhs takes to DVD. if I connect the video to a dvd recorder can i transfer them to dvd while i see them on the tv? I have tried converting them from vhs to DVD on a computer but even though it is a fast computer the quality if suspect, a bit blurred and jerky. has anyone done this and what are the recults like? ta Rob

    I converted my old vhs tapes to dvd but I had a combination player so it was quite easy and mostly the results were good.Sometimes you have to alter the tracking a bit if the tape is well used.

Yes, you can do that, Ive transferred loads of old vhs tapes to dvd, and they're really good, but if the quality of the vhs isnt that good, it wont be good on the dvd either.
