How do I get another city's local channels?

How can I get more local channels with my new LCD TV?

  • I have cable in other areas of the house but I am not going to hook up with a cable box to the LCD TV. I purchased supposedly special, stronger rabbit ears that I hooked up and I get channels NBC 4, Fox 5, ABC 7, and CBS 9 and some other channels. I can't seem to pick up public TV channels. I could with the analog TV. So what can I do to get these channels. I have picked up some HD channels in the air but where they are broadcast is further away then my public TV channels so I don't understand why I can't get them. Pls. Help

    Can't Lil Abner help? Sorry, couldn't resist. You probably just need a better antenna. Rabbit ears are pretty useless beyond about 10 miles from the TV transmitters. Try entering your address, or at least zip code, at one of the following sites. http://www.antennaweb.org http://www.tvfool.com That will show you where your local TV transmitters are. The first site will also recommend antennas. If at all possible, get an outdoor antenna, preferably mounted on your roof.
