Why does my Directv DVR only record partial shows?

My directv hd+dvr won't record two shows at once anymore. Can anyone help before I have a tech come out?

This is typically how their DVR is used. If so, then we know your satellite receiver is working and I would then suspect you aren't clearly saying what you mean. We had someone here once who claimed they could record 2 shows while watching something else, on a Directv DVR. They only way you can do this is have 2 shows being recorded on the DVR and then watching a third show using the TVs antenna input.

put everything back where it was .... go to menu...system setup...info and test ..satellite...view signal strength...you might need to run setup again .
