Have you tried internet fax service? All you need is an active e-mail account; free/paid internet fax service and a internet-abled device like PC, smartphones, laptop, etc.

I'm not aware of a machine that would do that... but you might want to consider a modem card for your PC with fax software you could possibly set it up to accomplish what you want to do

No such thing. Fax machine can only send fax to a fax number. Online Fax service can send and receive fax from a fax machine or another online fax service. By the way, online fax service is secure so I am not sure about your concern.
