Do you need Roxio & TiVo desktop plus or just one or the other to be able to transfer shows and put them onto?

do you need Roxio & TiVo desktop plus or just one or the other to be able to transfer shows and put them onto an itouch & burn them to a disk? i have an itouch and im thinking of getting tivo. if i get tivo, do i need tivo desktop AND roxio to be able to convert the file so i can play it on my itouch AND burn dvd's? You need TiVo Desktop to transfer the recordings, and supply the decryption algorithm. You don't need Desktop Plus to use Roxio, but do need it to convert to iPod format using the conversion built into TiVo Desktop.
