Magnavox recording problem?

Cablevision recording problem................HELP...…

• I have Cablevision with tv recording and the last few things got messed up. I dont know how? I scheduled a recording of a tv show and it only recorded 19 minutes of it and it was supposed to record all 3 hours of it. Another recording got messed up where it chopped it into 2 different separate recordings and was all supposed to be all in one. What part is chopped up at 1 minute and the rest is chopped into 49 minutes. Theres well more than enough space. Only 58 percent is full. Whats the problem. How do i fix it?

  It's probably that the cable signal gets momentarily disconnected, usually outside the home, causing the cable box to reboot the signal. In this case, the computer memory would recall the recording and start recording again, resulting in two different listings for different parts of the same show. Power outtages would do it, too, only if the power was cut it is unlikely the recording would re-start, which might have caused the recording that only lasted 19 minutes. This problem is probably not your box...it's more likely the external service. Bad weather in your neighborhood lately might be a cause, or maybe the infrastructure there isn't much good.
