Is there anyway I can get Direct Tv without a contract?

I live in an apartment and my lease is up in February 2012. I want cable but I cant sign a contract because they are all 24 month agreements. Can I use a Direct Tv box my parents have and just get them to hook it up here? Someone said I could do that.

Cable or Satellite, offer to pay for BOTH the installation and the equipment and then there is no contract. The contract simply guarantees the company that they will recover the installation cost. Cable will be much cheaper.

Where are you located? If you are located in Ontario or GTA then I would visit or call the following Satellite Installers in Toronto they are very good and they will give you a different option in regards to FTA Satellite Dish. You can get upto 200 channels or more They installed at my house FTA Receiver that I don't have to pay monthly. Rogers and Bell are charging too much money.
