Hauppauge HD PVR yellow lines fix?

now i got big yellow, black and grey lines on my in arcsoft? it shows the screen on my TV but on my PC it has big yellow, black and grey lines across it and looks terrible, on my TV i don't have any lines, it's perfectly normal. what's wrong? i did use 3 USB extendors since my PS3 is in my room and my PC is in my living room. could that be why?
