STOP DVR EVENT WHILE RECORDING?

i am getting so frustrated!!! so happy gilmore is on, and natural born killers. i started recording happy gilmore first, so its on TV2 and then i clicked record natural born killers, which is recording on TV1. now i cant change the channel, and my dad is threatening to end the recording. i realized i'd rather have natural born killers record, not happy gilmore, so how do i stop happy gilmore from recording now while its in progress!?!?! is there a way?!
Answer:

Get on Happy Gilmore and press stop or info, record, set recording and cancel.

Or if Alison's suggestion doesn't work,go to Happy Gilmore channel then use channel button to go to next channel,will stop the recording.
