How can I get my Dish Network remote to change volume and power controls?

Ok! So, I got a new Toshiba TV, and have Dish Network. Before I got the new TV, my Dish remote controlled EVERYTHING. Now, it controls everything except volume and power controls. So, basically, I have to get the Toshiba remote to turn my TV on / off , and to adjust the volume. It really is a pain! Please help!
