How do I program a Comcast cable box?

  • Hello, I am trying to program/set up, what have you, a cable box with the Comcast service. I am trying to do this without having a Comcast technician come to my house (so I can avoid the extra charges). I already have a box, but can't figure out how to make it work. Anybody know how to do this?

  • Answer:

    You need to call Comcast, give them the S/N or some other # so that they can enable it. Unless Comcast enables it, there is nothing you can do. Just call their service/support center and they can do it remotely. The rest is easy.
