  the thing about cable is this: there will only be ONE cable tv provider to choose from. this is dictated by where you live. it will either be comcast, time warner, charter, or some other company. their prices will vary from basic all the way up to digital and high definition. what you probably want to do is compare those cable prices with something like dish network or directv. satellite is cheaper than cable these days, and Qwest might even offer you a small discount if you bundle your phone and internet with the satellite tv service. i prefer dish network. they have good promos, low monthly costs, and installation is free. i only recommend cable tv if you also get internet through cable.
