How to connect dish hd receiver?

How much does it cost to add additional Dish Network receiver?

  • I am considering adding an additional receiver to my Dish Network account. I already have the receiver It is a VIP 722k. I was wondering what the additional cost would be to add it, and if it would have the features of my other receivers such as DVR and HD? Also, would I be allowed to connect this new receiver to a different antenna at a different location? Thanks!

  • Answer:

Hello, if you have already purchased the receiver you have to call Dish customer service to set up a technician visit. The technician will have to come out and run a wire from your satellite dish down to the receiver. He will also have to run a second wire to TV #2 that will be connected to the 722 receiver. Typically Dish Network technician visits are $95 if the customer does not have the Service Plan. If you do have the Service Plan, the visit will be $15. Also when you add on any receivers to an account, Dish automatically renews your contract (but you will have to double check with customer service). Lastly, with the 722 model your monthly bill will go up by $17.

I have Dish Network, but in Mexico. To add another reciever it was $5 a month more on the bill, Im not sure how much it would be in the US, but here Dish is very cheap. Im paying about $25 a month for the Basic + Channels and an extra reciever.

they would connect it to the same dish that is already installed for like 20$ extra if you want a whole new set up it would be 70$ extra plus a service call
