Just got a direct tv hd dvr installed and the picture is a purpleish pink color.?
-
The av receiver is hooked up with a hdmi cable to the direct tv hd dvr and that to the tv. Direct tv installer called supervisor and field supervisor came by and said it was my 3 yr old Onkyo receiver that couldn't handle the direct tv signal. I contacted Onkyo did a factor reset and this isn't the problem, It not the tv because when i run the direct tv hd dvr directly to the tv the picture is fine. What weirder is i can hook the playstation 3 to the hdmi in slot to the direct tv hdmi to the tv and the color is perfect, but if i connect my Sony dvd player to that same hdmi slot the picture is purpleish pink like the the tv

Answer:
so the dvd player is the weak link. doing a factory restore wont change the fact that it sucks.
