Can I use my laptop as a recorder for my surveillance camera?
-
I have a surveillance camera which has a USB port and SD card slot. I can't afford to buy a separate video recorder for that. Is this possible to use my laptop as a recorder by connecting this camera to it??? My laptop has got built-in motion eye camera with very good configuration(SONY VAIO). Many Thanks and Regards

Answer:
Yes. Have the camera run to your computer so you have feed. Have it record, but your laptop might have to be on. It could over heat.
